From the busy streets of US 41 in Fort Myers, FL. Ralph Dagza, started his musical journey when he was 16, when he found himself spending all day browsing for gems at a record store in downtown Fort Myers. It was at this moment that Ralph Dagza knew he wanted to be part of ‘The Scene’.
He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 2004 when he bought his first set of turntables. At the age of 17, he was already being touted as Naples’s answer to DJ AM. He was not comfortable with scratching but he fell in love with mixing and blending House music. He mastered the art of opening, he did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major names such as DJ AM, Fatboy Slim, and many more.
In 2010, he achieved his big break when he succeeded in collecting every release in Dim Mak, Mad Decent and Jeffree’s back catalogue. He also started remixing tunes and posting bootlegs of Autoerotique, Felix Cartal and many more which caught the attention of a lot of promoters and the big acts. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at major cities, from Miami to Chicago and from Sydney to Seoul.
He’s been posting his sets on Soundcloud and Beatport. Two of his sets made it on the Beatport Top 100 mixes. After producing several tracks, Ralph Dagza released an EP with Yann Cavaille through Phethouse Records, who helped distribute his first Internet release in 2013. Though the EP didn’t climb the charts as he probably would have liked, Ralph Dagza is a fighter and since the beginning of 2013 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft. Suffice to say, the Electronic scene should be expecting big things from Ralph Dagza in 2015.
