Already at the early stage in his career he has been awarded mulitple times for his songwriting in the UK. Also recieveing awards as a vocalist by the BBC, CYS Wales, Singer Universe. <
Simms love for compostion & production is also matched as a performer, having played to thousands of people from stadiums to concert halls internationally. These include: The Millennium Stadium (Cardiff), St. Davids Hall (Cardiff) The Pheasantry (South Kensington), Oxford Streets 100 Club ,The Troubadour, Rooftop Gardens (South Kensington), Rockwood Music Hall (New York), The Delancey (New York). Working alongside classical and contemporary musicans including: Elton John, Beverly Knight, Catrin Finch (Harpist), Alwyn Humphrey (Conductor), Gary Griffiths (Baritone), Emma Louise (SELSoul), The Regimental Band of Royal Welsh, The Royal Welsh Choir. With musial direction and performances in The Mikado, My Fair Lady, West Side Story & Chess – starring alongside Leigh Rhiannon Coggins (Phantom Of The Opera, Les Mis), Iwan Lewis (Les Mis, Passion), Chris Jacobsen (Les mis, Sweeney Todd).
Working on many compostions, he is now writing/producing for media globally. Finding recent commercial success with his co-written song ‘Tell Me’. A composition with american artist Valerie Broussard – the song charted Top 10 in Grammy-nominated DJ, Al Walser’s radio playlist – syndicated globally throughout America. Following this he has been working with top billboard charting songwriter Curtis Richardson.
Simms has most recently been working with companies in Sweden, Denmark, US, UK, Aus, NZ, Italy following pending releases in different outlets. Including being asked to commision a piece for Bafta winning director Danney Mulloys’ film ‘Home’. The film is backed the United Nations and recently had its first preview at the sxsw film festival 2016. – more to follow this year.
